While we wander around the various cities of Europe, we’ve been looking for street art. More specifically, tiled Space Invaders. We’ve found these colourful and iconic pieces in London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona previously. Well, we’ve found more in London, and even more in Paris, and even one in Brussels since then. So here’s an array of pieces for you to enjoy. Until next time, enjoy the show. London Paris     Brussels

So once again we were in Paris, but this time with my family. My parents, brother and his wife were over for my cousin’s wedding in Germany a week later. But before that, we decided to spend a week travelling around Europe. To start, we were only in Paris for one whole day so it was a whirlwind tour! In the morning, Liz and I dropped my parents off at the Louvre and since we had seen the Louvre last time, […]

So while we were in Paris we accidentally stumbled across some Invader street art. Actually, quite a few. Invader is a Parisian street artist who sticks tiles to the walls in the shape of Space Invader arcade creatures. These three […]

It would be a relatively quiet visit. 🙂 The glass pyramid that holds the main entrance to the Lourve is a modern monstrosity compared to the palace buildings […]

When I last went to Paris with my family, Musee de l’Orangerie was closed for renovations. We were pretty bummed at the time, but found other things to do. So this time, Rob and I thought we’d go and see it and the Monet Water Lilies inside. What I didn’t realise when I got there was that Monet ‘s works were presented in 2 rounded rooms. They were beautiful. In these 2 rounded rooms are four large paintings. These paintings – […]

We have been in the UK for over a year now. We landed in London 15th June 2010. However, for the whole year we’d been here, we’d only traveled to British destinations for our holidays. Affordable, but a touch hopeless, no? The last weekend of June, we finally left the island – and went to Paris! I just love all the lovers’  padlocks on the bridge above. 🙂 We were in Paris for only a 3day weekend, but made sure […]
