No need to discuss. Moving on…. We had 3 gatherings over the week we were in NZ. The mates, then Rob’s family then my family, all celebrating Rob’s 23rd and my 24th birthdays. Go us! So, last week John and Matta came over to visit Rob and me, which was *great*. We didn’t actually *do* alot. There was a lot of hanging out with our Rusden mates, and playing pool, and watching movies. But there was also activities. Down at Docklands (Melbourne’s version of Viaduct) in front of one of the Sea Shepherd ships. We took the boys to a Footy match (aka Aussie Rules). Richmond Tigers vs Sydney Swans. The Swans kicked ass, but […]

All in all, being back in NZ was brilliant. So, in brief, flew into Auckland on Christmas Eve, and slept in my old bed at home (thought now its a bright pink and orange… ), but was lovely, squishy and familiar. Christmas was busy, as always. Got a haul of gifts (Star Trek Orginal Series DVD box set, tshirt, singlet, jewellery, tote bag, etc). Had Christmas lunch at home, then went to Snell’s Beach for Christmas dinner with Rob’s family. […]

Kia ora everyone! So, not a lot been happening in the last couple of weeks. Charlie came over to Melbourne for work for a week, so Rob and I met up with him and his girlfriend Michelle for dinner, drinks and gambling at the Crown Casino, as well as market shopping the next day at Victoria Market. (note: these markets are pretty awesome for food stuffs, and a good thing to check out as a tourist.) But, prolly the highlight […]

Hello everyone! So, Rob’s settling well. He’s had his first week at work this week, which went well (at least he says so). He’s being primed up for customer interaction and has contributed some clever ideas for some project designs. He’s particularly pleased with his new computer at home, which is up and running for his gaming. *rolls eyes* Some things won’t change.

Kia ora everyone! So, I’ve been sick the past week. Like, I got *no* work done during the week and didn’t go to hockey trainings or singing. All I did was eat, sleep and watch soccer. *grin* But last night, having had a relaxing weekend doing nothing and catching up on a bit of work, we went out to town to watch the Italy vs Australia match. The crowds were *massive*. There was so many people out and on a […]

Hey everyone, So, in summary, I have been watching alot of soccer. 😀 And having lots of fun too. On Thursday, I went to the local pub ‘The Nott’ with my rusden friends. Thursday night is student night, and the pub was suitably packed. We got a seat next to the fire, which was great. Then we sat up to watch England vs Trinidad and Tobago (2-0 to England) which was awesome fun. On Friday, woke up with a sore […]

Hey, So, Australia is totally soccer mad right now. Well, with Australia winning their first Fifa World Cup match *ever*, who can blame them. Was a brilliant game, for you silly people who didnt sit up to watch it. Yes, I know, it was on here at 11pm and 1am in NZ, but seriously. Tsk tsk. 😀 Sitting through 80 mins of ‘oh my god, we’re gonna lose’ was totally worth it when Oz got *three* goals in *10* minutes. […]

Hey guys, So, I had an *awesome* hockey practice last night in the pouring rain. *Brilliant.* So, here’s some of those photos from NZ I promised – mostly friends ones from a couple of outings and a couple from Robs birthday. So, these first two are Rob related. He got this crazy lil antique tea caddy from Helen as a graduation present. Kinda kool. And then a photo from his birthday dinner. Then these are some photos from the Graduation […]
