Granada was the main part of this trip to Spain, but we spent an afternoon in Malaga to visit my Dad’s first cousin, Kevin.
Kevin is our only relation on Dad’s side of the family that we have contact with. It was wonderful to catchup with him and hear all the family stories about Dad’s parents, aunty, uncles and grandparents.
He also took us to this amazing wine bar in Malaga – Antigua Casa de Guardia Vinos. A super traditional spanish wine bar, where all the wine comes out of barrels and the drinks orders are written in chalk on the bar. Brilliant!
For dinner that night, we found a great paella restaurant that had a wide selection of paellas. We had a seafood paella and a squid ink and clams paella. Both were amazing. So pleased!
All-in-all, we had a great day in Malaga and a wonderful trip to the south of Spain.
Until next time…
