So, like I said last time, Rob and I moved house.

Rob and my room, with our lovely cheap pieces of furniture (tho all was either new, or near new – yay for budget!)

The back living room, which is where we spend most of our time coz its carpeted, easy to heat and the tv’s in there. *Perfect*

Our kitchen, including messy sink. πŸ™‚ We have 2 fridges, as there’s gonna be 4 of us so we’ll need the space. Great kitchen though.

Our front living room, which is actually smaller than our back room, but has the fire place and is where we’ve put the dining table and couch furniture. We’re thinking when Chris moves in that there’ll be a second tv in the front living room, then we can split space if we want to.

On another note, its been bloody cold here. Had one morning where it was 4 degrees (!), and we had ice on the car.

So that’s all good.
I’ve basically got the speech and gesture results combining and am getting some fair results. I’ll have to do some solid testing, but for now I’m pleased with progress. Just need to write a lil report about my progress, then all will be well.

Also, here’s a couple of videos of a couple of robots in tha lab. They’re not doing anything spectacular, but are moving and stuff.

This is the base for a wheelchair robot, that would be controlled by the user, but would also have guidance systems builtin to assist the user moving around.

This robot is the base for a luggage scanning system, if say a piece of luggage was left unattended at an airport. It doesn’t have a scanner on it, but you get the idea.

So, neither of those are *my* robots, but thats the kinda thing that wanders around the lab. Nothing as pretty as the yellow wakamaru, but yea. πŸ™‚

For those who don’t know, I also have a bebo profile and a facebook profile, if you guys wanna find and add me.

I’ll be in NZ for 4 days from 29th June to 2nd July. Don’t be offended if I don’t see you, it is only a short trip. Maybe next time, yea?

PS Robs not coming on the 29th. He’s being the smart one and is going to the All Blacks vs Wallabies match in Melbourne. (head::desk)
